HISTORY OF OUR SCHOOL
Gerede Vocational School, affiliated to Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University, started education in the 1993-1994 academic year with the additional article 16/b added to the Law No. 2809, with the Engine Program under the Technical Programs Department and the Accounting Program under the Economic and Administrative Programs Department, in the Gerede Apprenticeship Training Center Building. .
In the 1994-1995 academic year, Machinery Drawing Construction, Leatherworking and Management Programs were opened.
Computer Programming was opened in the 1995-1996 academic year. Later, the name of the Engine program was changed to Automotive, and the name of the Accounting Program was changed to Computerized Accounting and Tax Applications Program.
In the 1998-1999 academic year, our Vocational School moved to its own campus area, the construction of which was completed. Later, automotive and leather workshops were completed and opened for use for teaching.
In the 1999-2000 academic year, the Textile Program was opened, and students were admitted to the second education of the Automotive and Machinery Painting Construction Programs.
In the 2001-2002 academic year, the Chemical Technology program was added to the programs of our Vocational School and the second education of the Computer Programming Program was opened.
The Shoe Design and Production Program was opened in the 2009-2010 academic year and the gymnasium was opened in May 2012. The name of our student Fatih KALU, who was martyred on July 15, 2016, was given to the gymnasium on 20.10.2016 with the decision of our University Senate, and it was changed to Martyr Fatih KALU Sports Hall.
In the 2015-2016 academic year, the Fashion Design Program primary education and the Fashion Design Program secondary education programs were opened under the Fashion Department.
In the 2018-2019 academic year, maximum final exams were held, and 843 students who failed and did not meet the necessary conditions were deleted.
The Private Security and Protection Program and the Civil Defense and Firefighting Program, which are planned to be opened in our Vocational School in the 2018-2019 academic year, passed the Senate of our University. In the 2020-2021 academic year, students were admitted to the Civil Defense and Firefighting Program and started education at 100% occupancy rate.
In the 2021-2022 academic year, students were admitted to the Private Security and Protection Program and education started at 80% occupancy rate.
